I do recommend it as a useful resource for anyone thinking about how to get their organization to brainstorm and work through new ideas, urgent issues, or ongoing problems. They should have named their “games” activities and talk about opening activities, exploring activities, and closing activities, one activity of each stage building up a game.
We all know that life can not be a game, right? Chapter 8 Putting Gamestorming to Work. Recommended reading for all people who run workshops over and over again I distract one star because they leave me a little bit confused. This book gives a fresh perspective about game as play which brings out the essence of our innate childlike attributes that is present in humans since childhood but gets lost as we grow over a period of time.

Good reference book, not so much a good read Some great ideas for meeting exercises. There is however, a large section detailing actual games, and it could be that I will find something that could spark me. A great number of the games provided are targeted toward better facilitating communication within groups or team-building. This is a terrific book for ideas and techniques for running innovation sessions.
The book w also have ror from adding a few examples of gamestorming sessions with more detailed about how interactions usually go with participants, what kind of ideas were generated, etc. Great things don’t happen in a vacuum.

I think that the authors could have done things differently in order to increase the appeal of the book to professionals, as well as to maximize its utility.
