None of his comments give much of a hint to his personality. He is depicted as very large and muscular, and often wishes to resort to physical force to solve problems. Phoncible ‘Phoney’ Bone has done some shady business in Boneville that got him and his two cousins drom out of town.

She starts off sweet and innocent, yet later in The Dragonslayer when the seriousness and reality of everything dawns on her she takes boneville a more mature and tougher personality. And yet, for reasons foreign to my imagination, Smith decided to stick with his original ending, even though it clearly did not fit with the characters he’d created and the circumstance they find themselves in. He meets Smiley who is now a bartender and deputizes him for his plan to throw the race dressed as a cow and win everyone’s bets.
