Just like any other average kid, Briscoe was often given chores to do such as preparing the chicken to cook. Poorly written, poor grammar throughout, like a child wrote it instead of an adult and she’s now a judge? This was a trial questioning Briscoe’s basic truthfulness.
I really like this book for it shows how strong an abused child can be.
