Such is the case with ztrobel Case for Christ”. This book is very difficult to consider objectively, obviously so. I am a strong believer and it did This book was just ok to me. The fact that Strobel could have overlooked this fact is unfortunate, because presenting this topic in a truly critical, unbiased way would have made The Case for Christ a must-read for anybody trying to come to a decision about Christianity on their own.

One can give the benefit of the doubt for some questions like the existence of Jesus, but Strobel does not raise the burden of proof for supernatural events like Jesus walking around after death.
He interviews some genuinely interesting people! The Case for Christ is, unfortunately, formulaic and redundant to the point of being annoying.

I wish a super-intelligent and fair-minded Christian such as Marylynne Robinson would write a nonfiction book ab It would have been 3 stars but it’s super-condescending. Lee Strobel’s prose offers little subtlety and lots of pat answers that beg more questions that he has no pat answers for. As a work of apologetics, this book is very lacking. In the book, Jesus and Christianity are the defendants, and Strobel’s witnesses mostly theologians, with a few historians, a medical doctor, and a Christian psychologist are suitable witnesses for the defendants.
While I appreciate the point he is fel, this constant method of comparison becomes a bit tedious; as a reader, I just want to get on with the apologetics. His house has an excellent roof on a very poor foundation. In searching the internet to learn more about alternative academic views on the points that Lee Strobel made, I learned that there is a counter book titled “The Case Against the Case for Christ” that I plan to read to see if the two books together present a more rounded view of the different points of view.

Strobel claims to be a skeptic, atheist “investigative journalist,” but he only interviews Christians. But in this book, where they discuss the appearances of the resurrected Jesus, Jesus doesn’t just appear to the apostles and those who already believed, but also to random people on the street, and more creacor to people who were skeptical or downright nonbelievers while Jesus was alive.

This is a book about a man who wants religion in his life, not one that wishes to find the “truth. I did learn from the book The funny thing is, he never interviews anyone who would disagree with him, and so has nothing but biased or neutral sources – and he fails as a “journalist” to acknowledge that. Because they knew it was! With his close-cropped black beard, angular features, and riveting gaze, Craig still looks the role of a serious scholar.
Each interview has the same pattern. Though Strobel may have intended this sttobel as a way to engage the reader after all, who wants to read dry, academic prose?
