You’ll find yourself re-reading the final chapter again just for the feeling. Some people don’t like knowing or having guessed the ending, but I do. Overall rating No ratings yet 0. At least, not after you’ve read Lehane.

Lehane had really figured it all out by this third book. Dennis Lehane doesn’t write run-of-the-mill thrillers. Lehane showing off, and doing it well. Even when they do things that make me mad, it feels like when I’m mad at a friend and I know I’ll get over it.
I suspect after the success of the first two novels his publisher wanted him to churn another book out as quick as possible and this is what came out. A beautiful, grief-stricken ddnnis has vanished without a trace.
This book surprised me more than looking into my rear-view mirror on a midnight drive and finding a homicidal circus clown in my back seat. The pair are hesitant to accept but when enticed by a hefty sum of cash, it becomes an offer they cannot refuse. While this story lacked the intensity and pace of the first two books, it was still very satisfying. Is it the subject of another book? Showing of reviews.
Open Preview See a Problem? Deennis it had always been heading that way. Lehane’s Kenzie and Gennaro series is best described as being in the Noir series of detectives I am reminded of Andrew Vacchs as another excellent member of this genre.
In the Moon of Red Ponies. She has been written more as a true detective, and more often leading the action here.

Rooted in the streets of blue-collar Dorchester, they’ve seen it all — and survived. I liked some of the twists and there wasn’t anything specific that I could point to that dragged the pace down – because I kept reading this at the same speed as the other two – but it didn’t click for me.
Patrick and Angie are still recovering from the events in the previous book.
