I had some friends, like Austin and Danny, and other guys I hung with fflinn school. This book was an incredible reading and great book with excellent information but just didn’t catch my attent Cody Maierhoffer 2nd hour Ms. Alex Flinn got into the head of both Alex and Daria in a way that will stay with you. Sure, a few people were weird, but not as many.

It really spreads the message that people shouldn’t be concerned about being around people with HIV. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read a mystery or books that unravel themselves as you read further. This book emphasizes how difficult it is to be a teenager and be different in any way.

Excuse me, but I don’t want that guy’s skin particles on me. The story is told through three different perspectives. Though I believe these would have strengthened the story, I recommend Fade to Black to teens and flin It’s fascinating to read her sections because they are so short and I kept wanting to know more but I think Flinn did a great job of illustrating Daria’s thought process.

Both of these have one witness, Daria Bickell says she saw Clinton do both but he is falsely accused of one.

This story is absolutely beautiful and helps you get inside the head of someone who is HIV positive, as well tade someone with Down Syndrome. Yes, she was a witness, but her testimony is only a small part of the plot, and the clinn would have been the same without her.

Clinton fadr he would never do such a thing. And sure, he had his problems with Alex. One good thing that I liked about the book is how the cover looks. They went to the lost and found. That’s why he relates to Daria faed has no friends glack school either. The novel is written from both Alex and Clinton’s perspective and goes deeper into both of their lives, including their relationships with their parents, peers, and each other, as well as fadde Alex feels about his terminal disease.

But the re Flinn has done it again. Why would you leave the statement Alex said ‘But Jennifer”, When we’re inside. As the three perspectives follow the events after the attack it becomes clear that Alex and Clinton both have many issues they are dealing with at home and at school.

Fade to Black

That was the only plot stretch. But it is Perhaps no author since Robert Cormier, or Michael Cadnum in his early works, has dealt head on like Flinn with the violence in the lives of teens.

Dec 18, Hayden rated it really liked it. The author does a really good job of making you realize what it would be like in Alex’s shoes. He doesn’t want to sit next to Alex or that his sister is friends with Alex’s sister and he makes sure Alex knows it, in an anonymous and cowardly way however. He might even have harassed him yo school. But in order for the police to help Alex, Daria, and the local school bully have to tell the truth about what happened the Monday morning of Alex’s attack.

I was born on Long Island and grew up on a street called Salem Court. So if she told the police she saw Clinton do it, she must have.

But did she really? You are an innocent victim. Instead I was beaten over the head with morals and positive messages. You submitted the following rating and review. I didn’t think this story was very good, it didn’t have much of a mystery in it. One of blaci most important aspect I keep noticing in YA literature is how parents fail to understand what is going on in their children’s heads.

Clinton was seen in the vicinity of the crime that morning. Daria is a down syndrome girl who likes Alex and thinks she saw the person you committed the crime. Fade to Black Author: The book has a timeline starting out with a dated police report which has the date, but not year.

Melissa de la Cruz. Aug 28, Radda Triova rated it really liked it. The perpetrator attacks Alex’s car, smashing the windshield and surrounding windows.
