Want to Read saving…. I actually did appreciate Bird’s ugly, brutal, piercing honesty throughout. Bird continued to cry. It can be difficult to read because of the brutality of the descriptions and language in the book, but extremely worthwhile. There is no doubt in my mind that A Personal Matter is a skilfully executed piece of literature.
